Uppsala, 8 December 2020. ScandiNova Systems AB, a world leader in new generation pulsed power systems, has delivered its first modulator from the new top-of-the-line OEM factory on Typsnittsgatan, Uppsala, Sweden.

The new 700 m2 factory will be the company’s main production facility for its magnetron modulators M050, M100, M200, and the e-gun modulator E110. The modulators are key components in a broad range of applications, such as radiotherapy, industrial X-rays, and radar systems – with customers such as Varian Medical Systems, Elekta, and Varex Imaging.

The production facility is built to cope with the increasing volume of orders, the long-term perspective, and the objective of making ScandiNova the global leading supplier of the new generation pulsed power systems. The increased capacity and flexibility give ScandiNova further opportunities to grow in new business segments.

Like the previous production site, the new facility is a so-called Visual Factory supporting a lean manufacturing process. The 5S system tool is also implemented in manufacturing to improve workplace efficiency and even further lower the lead times.
