The order from ScandiNova Systems covers design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of a solid-state pulse modulator (K200) and a Toshiba x-band klystron (E37113). The system will deliver at least 6 MW RF peak power at an operating frequency of 11.9942 GHz. Maximal RF pulse length is 4 µs with a pulse repetition frequency range of at least 400 Hz. The RF pulse will be used to drive one or more X-band accelerator structures to accelerate electrons.
– We are honored to receive this order from Eindhoven University of Technology, and thereby contributing to making x-ray more accessible to researchers in many different areas, says Mikael Lindholm, Senior Vice President, Sales&Marketing at ScandiNova Systems.
