New CEO at ScandiNova Systems AB appointed

Uppsala, Sweden, May 24, 2021, ScandiNova Systems AB, a world-leader in new-generation pulsed-power systems today announced that Niklas Edling has been appointed new CEO, beginning no later than 17th of November 2021.

Niklas Edling is currently Senior VP Corporate Development and deputy CEO at Mycronic AB. He has extensive experience from leading positions within both the Electronics and the MedTech industries in an international context and will contribute with his competence in corporate development, growth strategy, product management as well as in supply chain and operations. At Mycronic, Niklas has had a leading role and been responsible for the strategy during Mycronic´s growth journey, when the company went from 1 to 4 billion SEK in turnover.

ScandiNova has had seven successful years with Fredrik Mella as CEO. During this period, the company has experienced strong growth and is now established as a market leader within Radiotherapy and Big Science with customers like CERN, Varian Medical Systems, and Elekta. The company has also entered new areas, like Cargo Scanning and Food processing. The Board of Directors and Fredrik have jointly agreed that it is a suitable time to engage a new CEO for the next step in the development of the company.

Fredrik will remain in the company as CEO until Niklas takes over, which will occur no later than November 17th.

Niklas Edling earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and a Master of Business and Administration from Stockholm School of Economics. The combination of high tech and business has been a common thread throughout his career.
