ScandiNova has been operating in Japan since 2006 via a well-functioning collaboration with its local agent SCETI K.K. As the Japanese market has become increasingly important for ScandiNova and its customers demand a stronger local presence, the company has now established a Japanese subsidiary – ScandiNova Systems K.K.

Representative Director and President of the new company is Mikael Lindholm, founder and Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, ScandiNova Systems AB.

The new CEO of ScandiNova K.K., Osamu Yushiro, has 20 years’ experience in the RF power field, including specific knowledge of Klystron-based systems. Yushiro joined ScandiNova Systems AB in November 2017 and started his new assignment on 1st of April, 2018.

The Japanese market for pulse-power systems is in an exciting phase, displaying great potential in research as well as radiotherapy and industrial applications. The need for modern solid-state modulators with ScandiNova’s attributes of high reliability and performance combined with compact size is thus substantial.

Having the new company in place further boosts ScandiNova’s already strong local support and increases its knowledge of the growing Japanese market.

Mikael Lindholm, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, ScandiNova Systems AB says “I am very proud of our establishment in Japan, which I am convinced will benefit our customers. Yushiro’s background and valuable experience provide us with a solid platform for implementing high-quality solutions for our clients.”

ScandiNova K.K, CEO Osamu Yushiro comments “It’s a great pleasure for me to start operations in ScandiNova Systems K.K. I believe that ScandiNova’s excellent pulse-power products can make good inroads into the accelerator, medical and industrial markets in Japan.”
